You truly have to marvel at the growth of the blogosphere. At one time, there were very few blogs and those that did exist generally were exclusive to the realm of information technology and computer system information. Now, there are an untold number of blogs that cover a multitude of different subjects and the audience of blog readers has reached numbers upwards of 70 million. Yes, you read that correctly... 70 million! Needless to say, the free market has taken notice of this significant readership. This has allowed for the inception of a number of innovative marketing ideas designed to help you make money with a blog.
In the past, the main method of making money with a blog was through traditional banner advertisements. Then, along came pay per click (PPC) advertisements and affiliate advertising programs. While these were nice innovations they hardly represented the "final word" on the methods in which one can make money with a blog. Case in point, the advent of paid blogging services has revolutionized the manner in which one can earn income from a blog.
The way paid blogging works is that you affiliate with a service that sells blog entry advertisements on blogs and write the blog entries for a specified fee. For example, you may be asked to write a particular blog entry on a hotel reservation company and place a link to that company within the text of your blog. Usually, there will be a specified time limit on how long this particular blog entry must remain on your blog (30 days, 90 days, permanently, etc) and you will be paid an agreed upon fee. Fees for entries are usually based upon your Google page rank and/or traffic stats and many fees will be anywhere from a low of $3 to a high of $200. Thankfully, many of the these paid blogging services are not competitive and you can affiliate with as many of them as possible and best of all you can monetize as many blogs you own. This is why it is not uncommon for some bloggers to earn upwards of $1500 a month with this program! This is a tremendous opportunity for a part time job and the amount of money that one can potentially earn will increase as time goes on. This is the future of earning money on a blog and anyone with a blog should look into it.
